the boys maintained their 100% record in the league with an emphatic victory over our near neighbours in Epping Upper Clapton.
Right from the off the lads stamped their authority on the game with an early try for Henri Hobbs, one of two for our mercurial and ever dependable number 8 and team captain. sandwiched between a power try for our wrecking ball Cade Carter-Thomas.
Lewis Walcott managed to convert 1 of the tries in the most windy conditions I think we have ever played in.
Epping managed to grab a late try when one of their backs got through our line to run in unchallenged, half time 5-17.
Second half got under way as we witnessed a wonder try by Lewis Walcott, a brilliant solo run saw him evade many tackles, roll off one player to the right then roll off the second player to the left and a dive for the line, superb, and then cooly slotting home the conversion into the wind.
Another excellent try from Rory Chick, revelling in his role as centre for the day, and two further scores from Domingo Lapadula and a second of the day for Cade Carter-Thomas wrapped up the victory.
In all fairness the Woods controlled the game from start to finish, Epping did not manage to get into the Woodford half on many occasions and when they did the defence was resolute. All in all a great day, lets keep it going boys.
Final score 5-41.
